Tyson Naish/Emerald – Competes in the unlimited and clubman open class
Round 3 of the Central Highlands Moto X Series was held at the Mosquito
Creek moto X track on the outskirts of Emerald this weekend.
Competitors were greeted with brisk mornings and then days that turned
in perfect conditions for riding, not great for this photographer as I prefer a
little cloud in the background when taking pictures of the riders against the
sky, alas !
Mitchell Moore – Emerald rider
The other pet hate is when they water the track, as this is from a
photographers perspective and not a writer, it not only dampens the track
but dampens the action that flying dust can contribute to action shots.
Sorry I digress, I forgot I was a writer and not just the photographer capturing
the local event
So to that end, the usual culprits across the classes excelled as expected and
further consolidated their leads in the Interclub series, with only 2 rounds left
in the series, that being Dysart in Sept and Middlemount one week later on
Saturday and Sunday 30th and 1st respectively.
Junior Competitor – Tomas Powell- Blackwater rider.
One of the stand out performers again was Tomas Powell a young rider from
Blackwater who is yet to taste defeat after three rounds in the 85cc 12-15yrs
where he has only finished first.
He also competes in the Jnr Lites and is leading the interclub series comfortably.
I think we can all agree as a writer I make a good photographer, hopefully the
words will not be as arduous in the future, but I trust you like the photographs as
I enjoyed taking them.
Competitors vie for the lead into the first corner in senior and clubman open class.
Hectic start for the 65cc class.
Age hasn’t stopped the Veterans and Ladies from flying high.
C15 – Glen Corney.
