EMA President Rob Moore said there was serious side to the burnout event, and that was to teach the younger people the finer points of driving and a safe controlled environment to perform acts, that if done on the public roads would end up in trouble with the local police. A senior local Policeman was there before the event started to address the crowd and offer words of advice on safe driving.

All 26 were there with one purpose in mind, try and blow up both tyres and gain extra points, also try and create as much tyre smoke as possible.
A good local crowd was on hand to offer encouragement and the more smoke a competitor generated the crowd was a little louder.

Thankfully a generous wind turned up just in time to blow the tyre smoke away from the burnout pad and also missing the crowd.
Live music was there to keep the crowd entertained and local car enthusiasts brought their pride and joy vehicles for people to appreciate in “show and shine “
